Two arenas, 16 nations—including Germany, Belgium, the USA, Nigeria, and Australia—and one world title at stake. BERLIN ARENA
Between Ostbahnhof and the Warschauer Bridge, one of the world’s most modern multi-purpose arenas—the Berlin Arena—hosts sports, entertainment, and concert highlights. Up to 17,000 people enjoy top-tier entertainment here. Thanks to its technical setup, the venue can be converted from a concert to a sporting event within just a few hours. During the group phase with 12 games and throughout the entire knockout stage, the 16 teams will compete to crown the champions of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026.
MAX-SCHMELING-HALLE
In the heart of vibrant Prenzlauer Berg rises the Max-Schmeling-Halle— a symbol of great sporting moments, unforgettable concerts, and moving events for decades. Where top-level handball, world-class boxing, and international stars usually give fans goosebumps, the heart of basketball will beat here in September 2026. During the group phase with 12 games, the world’s best teams will face off, bringing elite international basketball to an arena that—like few others in Berlin—stands for sporting passion and tradition.
