Where and when will FIBA EuroBasket 2022 take place?

FIBA EuroBasket 2022 will take place from 1 – 18 September 2022 in Germany, Italy, Georgia and the Czech Republic. 24 teams will play a total of 76 world-class games.

The preliminary round of Group B, which includes the German team, consists of 15 games and will take place in Cologne Arena between 1- 7 September 2022. The German team will play against the teams from Lithuania, France, Slovenia, Hungary as well as Bosnia & Herzegovina. Winning teams will move on to the Final Phase in Berlin at the EuroBasket Arena Berlin, where, after a further 16 knockout games (last 16, quarter final, semi-final, final), the European Champion will be crowned on 18 September.

The FIBA EuroBasket 2022 games will take place in the following cities:

What types of tickets are available for FIBA EuroBasket 2022?

The following tickets are available for FIBA EuroBasket 2022:

  • Packages
    • Venue Ticket Cologne: Group Phase ticket for all 15 games in Cologne
    • Team Ticket Cologne: Multi-pass ticket for all Group Phase sessions of one team in Cologne. There will be two sessions a day on every gameday in Cologne: Session 1 is the game with the German team. Session 2 includes the other two games. A Team Ticket will secure you a permanent seat in the respective fan block for teams from Germany, Lithuania, France, Slovenia, Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina. The number of Team Tickets is limited.
    • Venue Ticket Berlin: Multi-pass ticket for all 16 games in Berlin
    • Final Weekend Ticket Berlin: Multi-pass ticket for the final weekend with the following games: 2x semi-final, third place game, final
  • Day Tickets Cologne and Berlin
    • Day tickets for all sessions and games on a single day (likely to be on sale from the autumn of 2021)
  • Session Tickets Cologne and Berlin
    • Likely to be on sale from spring 2022, subject to availability

What is a session?

Every gameday in Cologne will consist of two sessions: Session 1 is the game in which the German team will play. Session 2 includes the other two matches. In Berlin, there will only be sessions for the top-16 games, played over two days. On each day, the first two games of the day will be played in Session 1 while Session 2 includes the final two games of the day. After the top-16, one session equals one game.

What tickets are currently on sale?

Currently (as of 30 April 2021) the following tickets are available:

When will further tickets become available?

Advance tickets for the basketball highlight of the year will be released in three phases, starting with the first ticket sales phase on 30 April 2021 of Team, Venue and Final Weekend tickets, immediately after the group draw. It is expected that Day Tickets will be for sale in the autumn of 2021 in a subsequent sales phase. Depending on availability, Session Tickets will be offered for sale in spring 2022.

What about VIP und Courtside tickets?

VIP and Courtside tickets, which include catering services, will also go on sale at a later date.

What form will my Venue Ticket, Team Ticket or Final Weekend Ticket take?

You will receive a single ticket for all the games that form part of a package. For example, a Venue Ticket Cologne will give you entry to all the games in Cologne with just one ticket.

Can I also pass my ticket on to another person if I cannot attend the game myself?

Yes, but only for the sessions covered by the package concerned.

How much do tickets costs? What price categories are available?

Tickets for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 games are available in different price categories for each venue. You can find details under the ticket prices for each arena at https://www.eventim.de/campaign/en/eurobasket2022.

Are concession tickets available and who do the concessions apply to?

There are no further reductions on the tickets that are currently available, as these already offer a saving of 20% compared to Session Tickets. The standard concessions will apply to Session Tickets. These will be announced at the start of the sales period.

Will there be fan blocks for fans of every country?

The Team Ticket Cologne will secure you a permanent seat on each of the five game days in the relevant fan block of the national teams for Germany, Lithuania, France, Slovenia, Hungary and Bosnia & Herzegovina

When will the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 draw take place?

The group draw for the Group Phase took place in Berlin on 29 April 2021.

Is a draft game schedule already available?

The draft game schedule for the FIBA EuroBasket 2022 is available at http://www.eurobasket.basketball.

Where and how can I buy tickets for wheelchair users?

There are a limited number of tickets for wheelchair users and for their carers available for all the arenas. These tickets can only be booked via the official ticket hotline (+49 1806 202200).

Where and how can I buy tickets for people with disabilities?

As a rule, tickets for people with disabilities, who are entitled to a free essential companion, are available for every FIBA EuroBasket 2022 game. In every arena, the following tickets are available: tickets for wheelchair users and tickets for people who are entitled to be accompanied by a carer. For each ticket application, proof of disability must be presented for the person concerned. These tickets are only available from the official ticket hotline (+49 1806 202200).

What shipping methods are available?

The following shipping methods are available for the FanTicket:

In what way does the FanTicket differ from the standard ticket?

The FanTicket is a high-quality, coloured ticket with the official FIBA EuroBasket 2022 design and is ideal as a souvenir or present. Advance ticket sales points only have the neutral standard ticket for sale.

How can I pay for my tickets?

Depending on the country you are in; the following payment methods are available:

  • Credit Card (VISA / MASTER)
  • Online Bank Transfer
  • PAYPAL
  • Direct Debit
  • SEPA transfer and many more

Will there be ticket offices at the arenas?

Depending on availability, it may be possible to buy tickets at the ticket office of the respective arena. However, there is no guarantee that you will be able to get tickets for your preferred seats (price category and area). The ticket offices will furthermore be open for fans wanting to upgrade their concession tickets.

Do I have to leave the arena at the end of every game?

You must leave the arena at the end of every session.

Are there special measures governing entry into the arenas? Is there a list of prohibited objects?

Special measures will be in place to control access to the arenas. The list of prohibited objects can be viewed in the FIBA Venue Rules which are available at http://www.fiba.basketball/venuerules.pdf. The site rules of the specific arenas will also apply.

Have the tip off times already been decided?

The final tip off times have not yet been decided. They will be announced soon on http://www.eurobasket.basketball.

Is there a minimum age requirement for children? From what age do children need to have their own seat?

There is no minimum age requirement for children attending a game. Please, however, bear in mind that entry to the arena will only be permitted on presentation of a valid ticket. On reaching the age of five (5), your child must have a valid ticket.

Please also note that the noise levels in the arena can reach a volume that is not recommended for small children.

Can my child sit on my lap?

Children under the age of five (5) may sit on their parents’ lap but must not obstruct the view of other visitors. On reaching the age of five (5), children must also have their own valid ticket.

Will my tickets be replaced if they are stolen?

If you can provide an official police report of the theft, tickets can be re-issued. Please contact our customer service using the contact form or via the official service hotline (+49 1806 202201).

Is photography/filming permitted in the arena or do I require a licence?

Photos and video recordings that are exclusively for private use are permitted. However, the use of additional tools such as tripods or selfie sticks is strictly prohibited.

Can I upgrade concession tickets at the ticket office at a later date?

If the original concession is no longer valid, you can have your ticket upgraded at the ticket office in the arena.

How many tickets can I buy?

Per order, you can buy max. 10 tickets per game/session or ticket package via the official FIBA EuroBasket 2022 ticket shop. If you should need more tickets, please use the order form for group tickets

Do I need a visa for travel to Germany?

Please check with your local authorities whether you need an entry visa for Germany. Please note that a ticket for FIBA EuroBasket 2022 is not a document that is sufficient to permit travel to Germany.
