The Damned – FINAL DAMNATION 50
Punk icons The Damned are bringing a full-blown rock spectacle to Kino Šiška on July 11.
On Saturday, July 11, Ljubljana’s Center for Urban Culture Kino Šiška will host one of the most influential names in punk history. Legendary pioneers of British punk rock and early gothic rock, The Damned are returning with the unstoppable energy and explosive live presence that made them icons across generations.
The band played a defining role in shaping modern music history. They were the first British punk band to release a single (“New Rose”), the first to release a full-length punk album (Damned Damned Damned), and the first to bring punk across the Atlantic to the United States. Over the decades, their dark yet melodic sound also laid the foundations for gothic rock, while their concerts became legendary for their intensity, unpredictability, and theatrical flair.
Fans at Kino Šiška can expect a journey through five decades of music history, featuring timeless anthems such as “Neat Neat Neat,” “Eloise,” “Smash It Up,” and “Love Song,” alongside material from their more recent critically acclaimed releases. Led by charismatic frontman Dave Vanian and guitar virtuoso Captain Sensible, the band continues to prove that their punk spirit remains every bit as sharp and uncompromising as it was back in 1976.
Don’t miss an evening of pure rock history and raw, uncompromising energy. Tickets for this concert spectacle at Kino Šiška are limited.
