Beyond the confines of genre or expectation, Melbourne’s Ocean Grove have morphed into an elite global force on the heavy music landscape. Boldly perched between nu metal, hardcore and alternative rock, Ocean Grove’s enigmatic artistry, ingenuity and sharp sonic identity collide into something entirely their own: Oddworld Music. Combining a trio of eclectic Australian misfits, Dale Tanner (vocals), Twiggy Hunter (bass/vocals), and Sam Bassal (drums/producer), Ocean Grove’s singular approach to creativity has led to millions of streams, chart success and ongoing critical acclaim, fortified by a staunch DIY work ethic that has seen them self-produce the entirety of their own back catalogue to date, including their most recent 2024 studio album ODDWORLD.
Renowned for their visceral performances, Ocean Grove’s extensive touring history has seen them command crowds around the world, from packed underground clubs through to arenas and high-profile festivals, ticking off tours along the way with the likes of Limp Bizkit, August Burns Red, Northlane and DON BROCO. Most recently closing out 2025 and entering 2026 with a huge world tour supporting Thornhill across Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe and North America, Ocean Grove toured Australia, the UK and Europe nationally in February as direct support to Poppy, before completing their biggest ever headline tour on home soil in August, supported by Cane Hill and selling out shows in Perth, Melbourne, Newcastle and Brisbane. Closing out 2026, Ocean Grove will share the stage with one of their own formative sonic influences, supporting California nu metal icons P.O.D. for the band’s exclusive Good Things Festival headline sideshows in December.
Whether securing triple j’s coveted Feature Album slot for their debut album The Rhapsody Tapes or, most recently, taking home Most Performed Hard Rock / Heavy Metal Work at the 2026 APRA Music Awards for their hazy indie fever dream single RAINDROP, Ocean Grove continue to redefine modern heavy music, with each new release and live show solidifying their place as one of the most compelling bands of their generation. Transcendent and hard-hitting with magnetic positivity. This is the Oddworld. OG Forever.
