Chet Faker (* 1989 in Melbourne, Australien, eigentlicher Name Nicholas James Murphy) ist ein australischer Soul-Sänger.
Er studierte am St Kevins College in Sydney. Im Jahr 2012 unterschrieb er einen Vertrag bei dem Musiklabel Downtown. In Australien erlangte Chet Faker durch den Hit Left Alone mit dem australischen DJ Harley Streten (auch bekannt als Flume (DJ)) im März 2013 große Bekanntheit. Die Single erreichte in den Australischen Album Charts den ersten Platz. Im Oktober 2012 gewann er den Breakthrough Artist of the Year und den australischen Preis Independent Records-Award. Im Jahr 2013 gewann er in der Kategorie "Best Independent Release"den Rolling Stone-Australien-Award. Er selbst bezeichnet sein Genre als Future Beat mit Kombination Modern Soul.

An sich kein schlechtes Konzert, jedoch haben einige Hits gefehlt, keine Interaktion mit dem Publikum, keine Zugabe und insgesamt nur 90min Spielzeit - da hatten sich einige etwas mehr erwartet. Schade drum

Nick Murphy ist einfach ein wirklich kreativer Kopf, der auch Mal auf der Bühne Songs entwickelt, die wirklich anders klingen. Er hat viele alte Lieder gespielt und sich bei seiner Songauswahl auf die erfolgreichen Lieder fokussiert. Das Konzert ging leider nur 1,5h, war dafür aber konzentriert und durchgehend hervorragend. Sound und Licht im Huxleys waren sehr gut und die Vorband war unterhaltsam.
