Dua Lipa hat gute News für ihre Fans: Die Veröffentlichung ihres heiß ersehnten dritten Studioalbums steht kurzbevor. „Radical Optimism“ wird die Platte, die elf Tracks beinhalten wird, heißen und am dritten Mai 2024 wird sie in den Läden stehen.
Dass ein neues Album kommt, galt zwar schon seit dem Release ihrer beiden neuen Singles, „Houdini“ und „Training Season“, als ausgemachte Sache und wurde auch immer wieder von der Sängerin bestätigt – nur die finalen Infos zum Langspieler fehlten bislang. Das hat sie jetzt allerdings auf Instagram geändert. Neben dem Namen und dem Releasedate gibt sie dort auch das Artwork und die Namen aller Tracks bekannt.

Auffällig: Im Artwork sind keinerlei Feature-Artists zu finden – aber wer weiß, vielleicht steht ja noch der eine oder andere Remix mit namhaftem Gast an. In einem Statement zum kommenden Album spricht Dua Lipa über den Titel und die musikalischen Einflüsse: „A couple years ago, a friend introduced me to the term ‘radical optimism‘. It’s a concept that resonated with me, and I became more curious as I started to play with it and weave it into my life. It struck me – the idea of going through chaos gracefully and feeling like you can weather any storm. At the same time, I found myself looking through the music history of psychedelia, trip hop and Britpop. It has always felt so confidently optimistic to me, and that honesty and attitude is a feeling I took into my recording sessions.”
