Metal mit deutschen Texten funktioniert nicht? Macbeth aus Erfurt beweisen das Gegenteil. Mit schwergängigem Metal, gespickt mit Doom-Anleihen und martialischen Texte, die sich vor allem des Themas Krieg bedienen, haben sie sich eine treue Fangemeinde erspielt. Als eine der ersten Metalbands der DDR erhielt der Fünfer 1986 gar Auftrittsverbot. Kuriosität am Rande: Erst 2009 (!) erschien das Debütalbum "Gotteskrieger", nachdem zuvor in erster Linie von Fans aufgenommene Kassetten unter den Fans kursierten.
