Ebow is going on tour again! With her sixth album, the femal rapper is announcing a new, multi-layered chapter in her artistic journey this autumn. The tour is titled “Arbayt”. Across seven cities, Ebow will bring personal stories to the stage – full of hope, daydreams, pain and admiration for her friends, her family and being a lesbian. “Arbayt” also reveals the name of the first single from the as-yet-unreleased album. Musically, Ebow moves between light-footed R&B beats, poetic intros and outros, old-school storytelling and moments that are raw and direct. In her new songs, she looks both forward and back. She longs for a new life for herself and her friends, searching for opportunities, for financial freedom, for spaces where dreams can not only be imagined but also lived out.
In her music, EBOW boasts about her precious friends and family, as well as her achievements. Ebow speaks of forms of love, past decisions and unfulfilled longings. Her songs are characterised by hope, much like in ‘Free’ and ‘Ebru’s Story’ – the hope that unlived dreams will still find their way. For herself, for her friends and even for her enemies. Each single feels like a snapshot from another life. Ebow recounts moments full of beauty and togetherness, but also of loss and pain. From these stories, she crafts a mosaic of memories, visions and experiences, piecing them together like a picture. A mosaic of infinite beauty, just as much pain, and the many paths a life can take and that make it worth living.
