The biggest game in European football
The AFLE Gold Bowl is the championship game of the American Football League Europe and the highlight of the 2026 season. On 6 September 2026, the two best teams in Europe will meet at the Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena in Duisburg to compete for the title of AFLE champion. This is the game every player, every coach and every fan has been working towards since the first kickoff of the season.
Eight teams, one destination
The road to Duisburg begins on 23 May 2026, when eight franchises from seven countries kick off the inaugural AFLE season. Rhein Fire and Berlin Thunder from Germany, the Vienna Vikings from Austria, the Wroclaw Panthers from Poland, the Alpine Rams from Switzerland, the Paris Lights from France, the Firenze Red Lions from Italy, and the London Warriors from the United Kingdom will battle through 14 weeks of regular season football and the playoffs to earn a place in the final.
A world-class stage
The Schauinsland-Reisen-Arena offers a capacity of over 31,000 spectators and provides the ideal setting for the biggest game of the year. Located in the heart of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan area, the venue is easy to reach by road, rail and air for fans from all across Europe. The day before the Gold Bowl, on 5 September 2026, the AFLE Experience Day invites fans to enjoy a special programme of events around the championship weekend. Alongside the game, the AFLE Power Party will turn gameday into a full football festival.
