Best classical night ever!!!! von Francisca Cardozo, 23.10.15
I was so lucky to find tickets for this concert in the Philharmonie! The program was amazing and the idea of the two „brothers in concert“ made it also somewhat special. The ouverture to the famous „Marriage of Figaro“, so gracefully executed, was just a perfect introduction to a concert that I will never be able to forget! It is true that the quality of Berlin’s instrumental music is difficult to replicate. The perfect example was the Beethoven’s violin concerto: incredible music, great orchestra and, on top of that, a great Daniel Dodds playing flawlessly. The cadenza was beautiful and the sound of his instrument was of great beauty. Maybe because in the end it is not so easy to hear this masterpiece live in the world’s biggest music halls but it really was an experience that made my trip to Berlin the best in years!!!! I will return soon and specifically look to another concert of this Populäre Konzerte series, if you happen to be in town try to find tickets, it can be difficult if it is too late but it’s worth every penny!!!!!
