maybe one should stop playing music, when there is no love for music other than using it as background noise for ongoing crowd do this, crowd do that-fuss. what i had to witness the other night was the stereotype of a generic rockband called zebrahead, although ... they did not seem to be musicians. with choreographed guitarswinging, screams and shouts in a range their voices werent capable of and screwed up posersolos they seemed to be like these entertainers you can find in hotels overseas trying to annoy you with their brainless partyprogram. speaking of which: party. machismo. beer. - yeah, nice message. thumbs up. and they say the kids are getting younger and younger every time their tour? nice one once again. thumbs up. summing up - worst gig i saw in a long long time and a lesson learned: to spend joy is (in the majority of cases) a good thing. but the joy in the faces of the people that are following other peoples instructions is worthless, when these other people are only trying to make their crowd compliant (under the mask of noncompliance) for the sake of feeling like really cool rockstars themselves.
