Shinedown
Die amerikanische Presse spricht von Shinedown als dem ultimativen Beweis, dass die Grunge-Musik auch 2009 noch lange nicht ausgedient hat. Mittlerweile wird die Band aus Jacksonville/Florida häufig in einem Atemzug mit 3 Doors Down oder Creed genannt. Dabei hat das Quartett den revolutionären Rocksound der späten 90er behutsam modernisiert und mit Elementen aus Hardrock, Heavy Metal, aber auch Pop angereichert.
Mittlerweile blicken sie dank einer internationalen Live-Reputation auf mehr als zwei Millionen verkaufte Exemplare ihrer Alben Leave A Whisper (2003), Us And Them (2005) und The Sound of Madness, das bis auf Platz 8 der amerikanischen Albumcharts stieg. Nachdem Shinedown Deutschland bereits Anfang 2009 im Vorprogramm von Disturbed beehrten und im Juni bei Rock am Ring und Rock im Park gastierten, kehren sie im November als
Headliner zurück.
